I'm a T1D. I have had Type I diabetes for 26 years, have a pump at my hip, and I'm doing great!. Raising money for the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) is one of my main goals.

The Injecting Stuff
This is my current injecting equipment. I've had that pounch with that cooling insert for about 15 years I think. It's filthy. I need to get a new one, or at least wash this one. But maybe I won't need it much longer. I am supposed to get a pump, whenever the diabetes educator decides that I am "ready." As far as I am concerned, I am ready NOW!

The pouch has held up well! At least you didn't say you were using the same syringes for 15 years. I don't know why I'm being such a smart aleck right now.... Maybe I'm getting punchy from staying up too late (it's 11:30 p.m. here in Vietnam).
